Robot girls: bring ‘em on!
WARNING: the following post contains explict male geekiness.
Here are the news about the presentation of the very first robot female!!! Before yesterday, the robots were mostly sexless, or closer to a male than a female in terms of shape. But HRP-4C is clearly a woman! I can barely contain my excitement! At last, the very sacred geeky dream comes true!
So far, living in 21 century has disappointed me. Where are the flying cars, bio-domes and cryogenical freezing predicted in 80′s sci-fi movies? But this is a step in the right direction. Soon, beautiful robot maids will clean, cook, wash and generally fulfill your every desire *wink-wink*. The most amazing little fact about this robot is that it was constructed according to Anime conventions. Just 158 cm tall, unnaturally big eyes, typical anime character haircut.
On the left: HRP-4C. On the right: Chi, the humanoid robot from the hugely successful anime and manga "Chobits". Sure, there's still a long way to go. But you have to start somewhere...
This is the future I can look foward to!
